What a weekend!

 

Friday afternoon was spent in one of my desk drawers. There is a lot of climbing in to and on to things at the moment. Dixie's new hobby.

Cooked a delics dinner. Scallops on a bed of sauteed fennel drizzled with a lemon-cayenne creme fraiche.

For the main, we yummed on a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad with a tournedos topped with gorgonzola sauce. Ended the week with vegging out in front of the TV.

Saturday morning we headed to the Zoo. It was cloudy as a start in Zurich but once up on the mountain at the Zoo it was clear blue skies and sunshine. Dixie checked out the boy next to her while checking out the monkeys.

Walked through the rain forest. It's an amazing place. It's huge and when you walk in from the cold outside, it's like a warm mist hits you. Exotic animals, insects and greens.

Dinner Saturday night was steamed and broiled mussels. First boiled in a lemon and chili stock. The baked with a topping of garlic butter and Gruyere cheese. Mmmmuhm!

Woke up to a day of sunshine and blue skies Sunday morning. Cold and crips outside.A walk around the hood while Dixie had her morning nap. In the afternoon we dressed warm and headed to the park. Dixie in her new long underwear from Polarn & Pyret. To add to this picture, we now have stickers everywhere, even on the socks.

 Fun in the park! Why doesn't kids want to wear mittens?

What a great weekend! Ended the weekend with some papi wrestling before bedtime. Goodnight!
