She's fast and furious!

Rainy and grey morning but that didn't stop us from heading to Flaach to buy the best Swiss asparagus there is in Switzerland. Recommended by our dear neighbor, the Spargelhof in Flaach. And yes it was the best asparagus I've ever had. So tender, so sweet and soo good. Served the traditional way with spring potatos, "rohschinken" and homemade hollandaise sauce.

After lunch it cleared up and since Dixie is the fast and furious little biker now, she wanted to go for a bike ride.

Stopped to play with dandelions.

And we baked a cake. Dixie got to lick the paddel with an extra dipp in the choci batter. Scrumptious!

For dinner just in time for the first period in the World Cup Finals, Sweden against Switzerland, Anders served up the best burgers in town. Grilled to perfection and topped with chevre, lettuce, red onion, mayo and grilled slices of bread. So good. My man knows how to BBQ. What a great day! Now, let's finish it i style. Go Sweden, Go!

Blueberries

Big, blue and sweet blurberries in the backyard on this very sunny Saturday.

The blueberry fits perfectly in the little gap.

Mimi arrived!

Mimi arrived. 15 min to spare once at the gate. Crappy Swedish train made my mom run run run once at the airport. But she made it. Yay! Dixie is over the moon. Mimi is here!

Obatzda and beer

We arrived. The sun shined and Dixie was excited we brought the bike and she was ready to go biking with Milan and Jana after a few hours in the car.

After biking comes obatzda, bretzel and beer. Well, for me, I had an aperol with prosecco. Very refreshing! Enjoyed a nice time at the beer garden in Planegg just outside Munich.

Woke up to rain, but the rain didn't stop us for an excursion in to Munich. The kids were excited to go on the train.

A real Bavarian lunch. Schweinshaxe with knödel and dark beer sauce. Soo good.

After the lunch we took the kids to the Children's museum. A very cool museum. Martin was building the Colosseum dreaming he was the gladiator still standing.

Anders and Milan build a huge tower of only white legos. A very tall tower.

Dixie was busy with the sticks and the rubber bands. What a great toy invention. Sticks and rubber bands. Dixie loved it and it kept her busy for quite some time.

Back home at casa Langrocks. We ate a lovely dinner that ended well after the kids were in bed with a couple of touch downs. Oh oh for touch downs. So scrumptious! To add, Martin is one of the best bartenders I know.

Sunday morning, Happy Mother's day brunch at a local Italian restaurant. Dixie's favorite was of course the pasta and the cheese, as well as the little heart shape chocolate that was on each one of our place mats. It was very difficult to resist the chocolate for Dixie until after she was finished with the pasta.

Dixie fell in love with a little pig that Lisi had knitted, it was placed together with other animals on a side board in the Langrock's home. Lisi is very talented and speedy when it comes to knitting so she had made a pig for Dixie as well. I don't really need to add that Dixie loves presents... just look at her face.

Our new family member. Lola, the pig.

Happy mother with the best little daughter anyone can ask for. Naughty but very sweet.

The kids and papis surprised Lisi and me with flowers. Dixie was so excited to give me the flowers. Thank you Langrocks for a very nice weekend, we had so much fun! See you soon!

Naglposh

There is no doubt about that Dixie is a girly girl, despite the fact that she's already lost one of her front teeth. Naglposh (nail polish) as Dixie calls it.

What a weekend! Filled with fun.

A very excited little Dixie woke up Saturday morning. Dixie helped prepare our Swedish feast and greeted Daniel and his parents with hugs. So cute! I love this photo, chatting to one another. We could hear names of the teachers at day care and some of their friends. I wonder what they talked about.

Pasta with bacon and parmesan cheese, a Dixie favorite.

Swedish smörgåsbord. Home made "gravad lax", herring, a tarte made with herring, chives and creme fraiche. Very much appreciated by our guests.

Lovely guests, Shasha and Yong. Dixie and Daniel were busy watching Pippi Longstocking and eating chips while we munched on the food.

On Sunday it was time for our next round of guests for the weekend. Noam and Aaron with parents. Anders had made a treasure hunt with a pirate map. Aaron and Dixie were not really interested in finding the treasures, but Noam was. And he did find the treasure. Yay! What a great weekend. Friends and fun.

...and then there were only one

...and then there were only one front tooth left. The hurt and loose tooth fell out last night while Dixie was eating her dinner. Only four more years until the real tooth comes, but what is a little gap on such an adorable little girl like this. No problem we say, it adds to the cuteness.

Happy Valborg!

Happy Valborg's dinner with these two little munchkins at the end of the table. Both busy with their own stuff. Great evening with great friends, barbeque, prosecco and wine.
